
Business Development
Position Objectives
- To research, contact and acquire new clients/projects.
- This position is responsible for helping the company drive towards it's profit goals in the brand strategy, print and interactive practice areas through the management of external/internal sales and marketing initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify and research inbound and outbound leads using a variety of sources and guided by firm goals and service strengths.
- Contact, qualify, cultivate and meet with leads via inbound inquiries, personal calling efforts, direct mail and in-person meetings.
- Coordinate cultivation efforts with firm partners, principals and account management staff to develop effective presentations, persuasive proposals and the highest possible closing rate.
- Represent PBDH and network with prospective clients at a variety of external functions, both during and outside of regular business hours.
- Provide periodic reporting of business development efforts to firm partners and principals.
- Develop and present all proposal and capability presentations.
- Prepare all proposals (including RFPs, RFIs and RFQs) and cost estimates.
- Ensure that PBDH's prospecting database is maintained and expanded, as needed.
- Participate in various business and marketing associations as a vehicle for identifying prospects.
- Contribute to and manage the development of internal marketing efforts including: writing press releases, case studies and monthly thought leadership pieces (e-newsletter, blog), and maintaining the internal assets (i.e. current case studies and inserts).
- Work with Account Managers to help strengthen cross-selling opportunities.
- Assist with the development of short and long range business projections
- When needed, assist Account Managers with estimates.
Qualifications
- BA or MA in marketing or communications or equivalent experience
- 5+ years professional experience in sales and marketing
- 3+ years experience with print and interactive sales/marketing
- Previous experience with a creative services company preferable
- Comprehensive understanding of brand strategy and marketing principles
- Very strong writing, oral and presentation skills
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Self starter, proactive
- Proficiency with business software applications (presentation/proposal software, word processing, databases, spreadsheets),
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

Compensation
- Exempt, salaried paid twice monthly, benefits, incentives, automobile mileage, commissions (as outlined in separate agreement).
Copywriter
Position Objectives
- Develop concepts and copy that yields the best solution for every situation.
- Being the "Concept Cheerleader" for the internal team
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with internal team in concept development for client projects
- Effectively communicate the voice of the client's brand
- Write/edit copy for appropriate medium
- Write/edit articles for relevant publications
- Constant development and maintenance of content on PBDH blog ("Open House")
- Stay up-to-date, and inform staff of, trends, cultural happenings, and creative/industry news
- Cultivate creative environment
- Increase awareness of PBDH by effectively assisting with the development of external communications
Qualifications
- 5+ years in advertising, design, or writing field

Brand Strategist
Position Objectives
- Assure that PBDH is one of the leading providers of brand design services in the Pacific Northwest and is positioned as such.
- To develop and strengthen Phinney/Bischoff Design House's clients' brands though the effective development, management and execution of the brand strategy process.
- To strengthen Phinney/Bischoff Design House's brand.
- To assure the consistent delivery of excellent client services.
Primary Responsibilities
- The continuous development and implementation of the firm's brand strategy discipline.
- Leading the development of clear and effective brand strategies for clients.
- Oversee client engagements through the brand strategy process, in coordination with account managers, including; scheduling, strategy development, presentations, client-development, writing creative briefs.
- Coordinating and collaborating with project partners, including research firms, ad agencies, etc.
- Manage brand strategists and Account Managers/Strategistsincluding training and development.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters level degree in marketing, communications or a related field.
- Two or more years experience with Internet-related projects and print production.
- Two or more years experience with qualitative and quantitative market research.
- Strong writing, oral and presentation skills.
- Well-versed in print design and production, Experience Design processes and Web production, and marketing principles and strategies.
- Must think strategically and be results oriented.
- Proficiency with business software applications (word processing, databases, spreadsheets), especially MS Office.

Account Manager/Strategist
Position Objectives
- To ensure timely delivery of quality services to PBDH clients as an efficient and professional account manager.
- To work with the Director of Brand Strategy to strategize/plan marketing positions/systems for clients to aid in their success.
- To increase PBDH revenue by assisting in the development and implementation of the PBDH marketing plan.
- To increase PBDH revenue by assisting with business development efforts.
- To maintain and increase PBDH revenue by striving for a high rate of client retention.
Primary Responsibilities (Account Management)
- Act as primary client liaison and client advocate.
- Represent the client within Phinney/Bischoff Design House.
- Research and understand clients' market and industry issues.
- Maintain one-on-one communication with clients throughout and between projects.
- Responsible for project estimating and overseeing project budgets.
- Maintain project delivery schedule and revise as necessary.
- Write creative briefs and/or conduct kick-off meetings to initiate projects.
- Review work-in-progress and ensure the design follows the clients' graphic standards guidelines (if any) and client expectations.
- Present work-in-progress to client (occasionally with designer and/or principal).
- Oversee quality control.
- Maintain and develop client relationships and actively seek opportunities for additional work with current and past clients.
Primary Responsibilities (Brand Strategist)
- Help the Director of Brand Strategy in conducting interviews, writing surveys, collating data, analyzing results, making recommendations for clients marketing efforts.
- Be a proactive participant with client, looking for better ways to service the account, and help client achieve their goals.
Business Development
- Support the implementation of business development initiatives as directed by the business development coordinating team.
- Research target markets and prospects.
- Manage targeted campaigns.
- Help maintain prospecting database.
- Assist with prospect follow-ups and prospect relationship development as necessary.
- RFPs, RFQs and proposal preparation for current clients, past clients and prospective clients.
- Prepare for, and participate in, sales presentations as needed.
- Participate in networking events during and after business hours as necessary.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and implementation of the PBDH Marketing and Business development plan in collaboration with partners, client services director and business development manager.
- Participate in strategic planning process for firm, especially as it relates to business development, client relations and client retention.
- Write, edit and/or proof copy on client projects and PBDH marketing materials as needed.

Education And Skills Required
- Bachelors level degree in business, marketing, communications or a related field
- Four or more years' experience in marketing and/or client services
- Four or more years' experience with account and project management

- Solid understanding of interactive (Web) design principals and processes
