Fortissimo!

The 2010 season of the Sun Valley Summer Symphony kicks off July 26 with the Edgar M. Bronfman Chamber Music Series followed by the Season Concert series beginning on August 2. The “Fortissimo!” theme was developed by PBDH to capture the spirit of the season’s dramatic repertoire — which includes Strauss’s An Alpine Symphony — an over-the-top piece describing the power of a thunderstorm with full orchestra and organ, Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique, Stravinsky’s Firebird, and a performance with 16 french horns titled Hornucopia. Plus amazing guest artists like Itzhak Perlman and Emanuel Ax. And this season’s annual fundraising benefit concert features country music legend Garth Brooks — who will perform solo and with the orchestra.

These summer concerts are a great way to enjoy a celebration of incredible music performances in beautiful Sun Valley Idaho.

This season marks the eighth year of the Symphony’s collaboration with PBDH!
