Seattle Fashion Week 2010

A few of us decided to trade in our x-acto knives and creative briefs for an evening to show some love for our local, independent designers during Seattle Fashion Week 2010. We definitely had a good time enjoying the show, and as the photos show, enjoying a little bit of ourselves.

The highlight of the week of fashion was during the Established and International Designers finale event, when the Vera Wang Collection was premiered for the first time in the Northwest by Marcella's La Boutique and included a special guest appearance by Apolo Anton Ohno.

A special thanks to my friend Hanna for getting us some awesome seats for the show...Who also looked gorgeous modeling for Vera Wang!

It was quite refreshing to see another side of Seattle fashion that showed that we're not necessarily just about the outdoor, casual wear we all find so much comfort in. There is more to Seattle and the Northwest than REI and Eddie Bauer (which are fantastic brands by the way...not knocking them). It was a fun opportunity to get out, support the Seattle community, and let loose our deeply buried Project Runway fantasies.

Here is a short clip of the men's collection by Seattle independent designer Banchong Douangphrachanh, my personal favorite of the evening.

I don't really interested in attending a fashion show. I don't understand about the trends of costumes, so for me it's not too good.

I am convinced that is very hard to realize a good fashion show. I never was at a presentation but I saw some at the television and seems to be great.
