BECU on the Move

February 23, 2010

Seattle, WA – February 2010 –Phinney Bischoff Design House (PBDH), a Seattle-based brand design firm, recently completed a series of motion graphics for BECU.

On the forefront of trends in credit union and bank marketing, BECU had already incorporated flat-screen displays in their neighborhood financial centers. The displays are effective in allowing an NFC to quickly update and communicate rate information or respond to a competitive offering. But BECU realized that there was far more potential in how to maximize their use. PBDH consulted with BECU and recommended developing a series of motion graphics that depict actual members and their stories about doing business with BECU.

The motion graphics are a combination of still photography and animation. Developed without any type of audio, the member story is told through the use of on screen text that is incorporated into the overall animation. Each story focuses on a particular BECU offering: business loans, home loans, etc. and successfully cross-sells products in an informative and entertaining way.
